Harsh judgments aren't just terrorist attacks, wars and economic collapse, although they clearly include those, too.
Harsh judgments are all those things that we're all currently dealing with in our own lives, but trying to keep a brave face about. Like serious illnesses, difficult relationships with our husbands and kids, money worries, that general down, depressed, or anxious feeling, loneliness, worry about what will be etc etc.
THAT's what we've got a chance to sweeten, today and tomorrow.
Call, text or email 15 friends, and ask them to say 10 tehillim today, and 10 tomorrow - then you did your part to sweeten the judgments hanging over yourself and your family, am Israel, and the world generally - and you'll feel pretty darned good!
We keep missing these opportunities because we don't really believe that anything is really going to change or improve in our lives, and we get overwhelmed with cynicism and apathy (I know that's what's happening with me a lot of the time.)
But carpe diem!
Seize the day(s), and BH by Tuesday we could be waking up to a much nicer world, Bezrat Hashem.
May we all hear good news very soon.
