Then, there was a bunch of abnormal fires in the US, including the ‘death trap’ fire in Oakland Los Angeles that killed 36 people:
On December 2, 2016, at approximately 11:20 p.m. PST, a fire broke out in a warehouse, known as Ghost Ship, that had been converted into an artist collective, including dwelling units, in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland, California. A total of 36 people were killed in the fire, the deadliest in the history of Oakland.
The 2016 California wildfires were a series of wildfires that burned across the state of California during 2016. A total of 6,986 fires had burned 565,070 acres (2,286.8 km2), according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
Fire Brigade Union safety expert David Sibert said that ordinarily tower block flats are designed to be like a "fire-resisting box".
He said: "So you should be able to set fire to your own flat and leave it to completely burn out and it won't affect anybody else in the building.
"What's happened in this fire today is like nothing that anyone in this country has seen ever.
Two days’ later, the fires are back again, this time some freak forest fires in Portugal, that have already killed 62 people and decimated acres of forest. Again, initial reports stated that some 60 forest fires ignited ‘spontaneously’ in very hot weather, maybe as a result of lightning, (and nary a Palestinian in sight…) and engulfed a bunch of people driving their cars on the streets, and burned down houses, in super-quick time.
The mayor of Pedrogao Grande, Valdemar Alves, said: "This is a region that has had fires because of its forests, but we cannot remember a tragedy of these proportions.
"I am completely stunned by the number of deaths."
I got to Daniel’s vision of the four beasts, which are generally reckoned to be metaphors for the Babylonian Empire (the lion), the Persian Empire (the bear), the Greek Empire (the leopard) and the last, fourth beast, generally reckoned to be the Roman / Edomite / Xtian empire. Here’s what Daniel had to say about that fourth beast (7:7):
(Oooo, now I just wrote out the reference I see we’re also doing that double 7 thing again. Interesting!)
“…behold! A fourth beast, exceedingly terrifying, awesome and strong. It had immense iron teeth, and it was devouring and crumbling and trampling with its feet what remained. It was different from all the beasts that had preceded it, and it had ten horns.
“As I was contemplating the horns, behold! Another horn, a small one, came up amongst them and three of the previous horns were uprooted before it. There were eyes like human eyes in this horn, and a mouth speaking haughty words.
“I watched as thrones were set up, and the One of Ancient Days sat. His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like clean wool; His throne was fiery flames, its wheels blazing fire. A stream of fire was flowing forth from before Him, a thousand thousands were serving Him and myriad myriads were standing before Him. The judgment was set and the books were opened.
“I saw that after this, because of the sound of the haughty words which the horn spoke, I watched until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and consigned to a flame of fire.”
Western media has effectively abrogated the functions of all these three things to itself, as the ultimate arbiter of morality (abortions are great! Homosexuality is wonderful!), and of who is fit to rule a country (definitely Obama, and definitely NOT Trump…), and what wars can be fought, and how they should be conducted (up with Iran and down with Israel).
According to many Jewish commentators, including Rashi, this whole vision of Daniel is directly connected to the End of Days, and the time when the Moshiach comes. Now, I could be wrong, but all the ‘extreme fire’ events we’re seeing across Europe and the more liberal parts of the US could be a clear indication that ‘judgment day’, whatever that actually means, is creeping ever closer.
So keep an eye on the fire stories. I’m pretty sure there’s more to come.
