I had a couple of emails from people pointing out that the autistics were also trying to encourage people to make teshuva, and to get ready for the geula. Over on shirat devorah, a commentator made the same point.
I know so many of us were drawn to their statements about the world of lies falling etc, and there was never any problem with those general statements. The problem is and was all the 'divining the future' stuff, which increasingly took over the FC messages, and which was strictly and totally forbidden right from the start.
As soon as we started ignoring the message for each of US to make teshuva, and started relying on the autistics as a source of information about the future, the forces of tumah in the world took over the dialogue, and we can all see what a huge, negative mess got made as a result, with so many Jews being turned against other Jews.
This is what I responded to the commentator over on shirat devorah, who brought up some very important points in a very respectful manner, which is exactly the way we should be discussing these sorts of things, kol hakavod to her:
THE RABBINIC HASKAMOT ON THE FIRST 'DANI18' BOOK
The problem was never one of speaking generally about the geula, and encouraging the Jewish people to return to God. That is clearly not 'kesimah' or divining the future. The problem is whether FC was ever permitted as a kosher way of giving over specific information about the future.
In the English haskamot for the first Dani18 book, which you can see for yourself here: http://www.dani18.com/uploads/HASCAMOT_ENG.pdf
This warning is given over time and time again:
"HaRav Hagaon Rav Steinman greatly encouraged me to publish this book which conveys these messages to the public at large.
"However, he also asked me to caution that one may not use these messages in order to derive practical advice or for halachic guidance.
"He also warned not to ask the mentally disabled questions about the future. We have merited the revelation of this remarkable phenomenon only for the purpose of drawing the hearts of the Jewish People closer to their Father in Heaven."
Rav Shmuel Kamentzky's haskima reiterates the same warning:
"Therefore, it is worthwhile to print this book in English, so that people may understand the secrets and greatness of the human being. One must not forget the directive, "You shall be wholeheartedly faithful to Hashem, your G-d," and not use these abilities to predict the future."
Here is how a recent message from Meir Yisroel for Shvat 5777 begins:
"Times are difficult and I see that next week will be more of the same. There will be places in
the world where there will be huge demonstrations and riots. When you see that, then you will know that the great conflicts are upon us."
This is straight up predicting the future, and is clearly transgressing the Torah prohibitions of kesimah and not being wholehearted with Hashem.
The rabbis who gave their haskamot clearly warned us not to use FC communication to try to predict the future, and clearly, their warnings have been completely ignored - and have damaged the faith and lives of a great number of Am Yisrael as a result.
The yetzer today is so clever. It took something that initially was such a strong motivator for people to make some sincere teshuva and to return to God, and turned it mamash into witch-craft.
So many people got negatively affected by the autistics 'predictions of the future', which they should never have been asked to give, which should never have been publicly shared once they were given, and which should certainly never have been widely disseminated across the web as 'true prophec,y' when all of that clearly flew straight in the face of the very strict warnings Rav Steinman, z'tl and Rav Kanievsky gave to NOT USE FC TO PREDICT THE FUTURE.
BH, I really hope that all the truly God-fearing people out there can now put all the 'predictions' from the autistics in the proper perspective, and will strengthen themselves to stop having anything to do with these tumah-dik sources of information.
The messages to come back to God and prepare for geula were OK and coming from a holy source. Any message to do with predicting the future is and was straight up witch-craft, and is not coming from a good place, spiritually.
