Amazingly, the project - called 'Sasson Magazine' - got off the ground, with a lot of help from a lot of talented writers, and the first edition is now up, over on: www.sassonmag.com.
It's a little rough and ready around the edges still, but the idea is to build a collective, collaborative website of people sharing their ideas, Torah, poetry, and (excellent!) frum fiction.
In the future, I'm hoping to add Podcasts, more book reviews, maybe even some frum music too - who knows! The skies the limit!
But in the meantime, I'm seriously impressed with the talent that's gathered together on the site for it's first outing, and I just know that this creative expression of Jewish achdut (or ACHDUSSS) is making Hashem seriously happy right now.
So please head over to WWW.SASSONMAG.COM, and take a look, and if you like what you see, please spread the word.
There's so much more to the orthodox Jewish world than the stuff you read about (and if you're like me, gag over...) in some of the other more mainstream places, and BH, we'll be able to bring more of that beautiful, deep, real Jewish stuff out into the world now.
