So, the manuscript for 'One in a Generation', the biography of Rav Eliezer Berland, has been written and is now being fact-checked before going to the proofreader.
That means that we're about two months away from getting the book printed - which is your chance to participate in this enormous mitzva project, dear reader.
We need to find at least 20,000 NIS to get 1,000 copies of the book printed, and that's a lot of money!
So, after discussing it with my co-author, we've decided to start a fundraising campaign to help us get the book printed, and out there, ASAP. If you'd like to join us, here's a few options for you to consider (the Paypal account is in dollars, not shekels):
- Full page dedication - 1,000 nis ($260)
- Half page dedication - 500 nis ($130)
- Quarter page dedication - 250 nis ($65)
- Dedicate a name - 100 nis ($30)
Of course, you can also donate some money for the printing costs without making a dedication, if you really want to.
Click on the 'donate' button below, which will take you over to the Shuvu Banim donation pages - Rav Berland's official site. The money for printing will all be collected by them, and ring-fenced for this project.
Once you have made your donation, please DROP ME AN EMAIL with your name, how much you donated, and the text / names you want on your page, or portion thereof. Please don't forget this bit, as I'm the one arranging all the text in the book, so if you make a donation but don't let me know about it, you probably won't see your dedication in the final book, which will be very upsetting for everyone.
The couple of people who've seen the draft so far have all been bowled-over by the book. It's like a cross between an Artscroll Biography and a John Le Carre thriller....
I also happen to think that getting this book out there has some big, mysterious part to play in the redemption of Am Yisrael (but maybe every Jewish author feels that way...)
Anyway, click the button below to donate, then email me your dedication details by clicking HERE.
