He is in heaven, together with G-d, everything is beautiful, everything is in control. The next avodah is in the chatzer hachitzoni, the outer courtyard. Suddenly the kohen feels himself sent out of the holy temple in order to do some work "outside", whats going on here?! A second ago he was in the most sublime place, and supposedly a person only goes up in avoda, how then is he suddenly thrown out to do the difficult work again as if he hasn't yet entered? The truth is Reb Natan says, that what he thought was so beautiful before when he was offering the incense, was only a taste of what is to come, because the next level is serving inside the actual sanctuary where you are surrounded by G-ds embrace - after you finish the avoda on the outside.
So first you are given a very small taste, but a free taste, of what avodah is supposed to feel like, and then you are thrown out and told "now lets see you earn it" but if you continue with your work you will get inside to a place that you never dreamed existed.
The problem is, says Reb Natan, many give up just at this point when the gates of the inner sanctuary are about to open. That is why, says Reb Natan, the Rebbe would scream to the point of hoarseness "THERE IS NO DESPAIR IN THE WORLD", and that has become the foundational Breslov teaching. And so says Reb Natan,
ALL great people needed to pass this process, of coming in and thinking they were "there" only to be thrown out to the darkness, but the difference between those who made it and those who didn't was only in the one word "despair" whether it existed or not in their consciousness. Rebbe Nachman did not say "do not despair", rather he said "THERE IS NO DESPAIR", only if the concept of despair does not exist for a person, and is not an option, will he make it.
And as soon as he feels he can't anymore that is when the gates are opening. So, Reb Natan ends off that a person must pass this process both spiritually AND financially. If he is on the right path he will be given a taste of the real thing, and then suddenly be thrown back, in order to reach the level for real. So when someone has a descent he must realize that it is a sign that he is truly going up.
How does one know they are walking uphill? When the steps become more difficult. Someone who knows how to save money in stocks does not sell out when the markets low, that is the time to BUY, put all your money in, your very last coins, because everything is about to go shooting up!
BREAKING NEWS ABOUT RAV BERLAND:
For this purpose a new team of top lawyers were hired. Rav Berland himself gave a shiur today about the great benefit of a person to take on himself suffering and disgrace for the sake of Am Yisrael, but ended the shiur with these words “But now it is time to cancel the decree, I am now in a life-threatening situation.
It is true that we merited great things but now it is time to sweeten the Judgements. We therefore hired a team of top lawyers, who’s cost is nearly one million shekels and we have no way of paying them. I am therefore asking that anyone who hears this recording should donate 1000 shekel until candle lighting on Shabbos to ka’ayol ta’arog fund (under the guidance of Rav Ofer Erez shlit”a).”
Please go HERE to see the whole article, hear Rav Berland's own words, and make the donation. I know times are tough, but Rav Berland's release will affect every single person for the good. I need my miracle, you need your miracle, so please, let's do whatever we can to help the Rav to get out of prison. When he says he's in a life-threatening situation, he is not exaggerating an iota. The Rav has had to stay in prison despite operations for tumours, cardiac arrests, collapsing and a few other things - all with NO TRIAL and NO EVIDENCE!
Let's get the Rav out!
