BH, we made a pidyon nefesh payment over to Rav Berland yesterday for my husband, and a few hours later he finally started to feel a bit better. He's been more sick the last week than I've ever seen him in 20 years' of marriage, and even my teenagers started to get a bit worried - so much so, they spontaneously sat down and did tikkun haklali for him, and if you know teenagers, you know how bad things must have been for THAT to happen...
This week, it mamash felt like that description of the birthpangs of moshiach, where you get hit with another wave of cack before the last one's even finished. I feel like I've been in 'survival' mode all week, like I fell down a big hole, or something.
In the meantime, over on the English Shuvu Banim website, they put up a new video (brought to my attention by Myrtle Rising - thanks!) that is probably one of the most mind-blowing shiurim I've ever heard from Rav Ofer Erez. (And that is saying something).
It's the missing part of the puzzle explaining WHY geula is being delayed, even though we can all see that it's long overdue, and it ties in so beautifully with so many of the things I've been writing about recently on Emunaroma, including the need to have a good eye...
The video has English subtitles up to the first 15 minutes, but apparently more are coming - and even that first 15 minutes is mind-blowing enough, to be getting on with.
BH, when I get some energy back, I'll write up the key points in the meantime, as if / when we really internalize what Rav Ofer is telling us in this video, we'll get geula in the next 10 minutes.
