The RAMBAM's first principle of faith is that: God did, does and will do everything' - EVERYTHING! Full stop.
When all those hundreds of fires simultaneously broke out around Israel two weeks' back, all the heretics (including the ones with big kippas, big beard, and big reputations as prophetic 'rabbis') rushed to tell everyone that God had nothing to do with it, and it was all a big conspiracy by Arab arsonists, part of a 'fire intifada'.
Well, guess what?
Friday's main headline in the Jerusalem Post (which I happened to catch while I was out doing my Shabbat shopping in Mahane Yehuda) was that after all the hype and the 'dozens of arrests' the police made during the fire, they're only pressing charges against 3 Arabs. All the other suspects got released once it was shown they'd done nothing wrong (which is another miracle, but I digress).
So, all those people who were so quick to dismiss God as the Main Mover behind the more than 250 fires that spontaneously erupted at exactly the same time Rav Berland was being publicly humiliated in an Israeli Court, and forced to confess to crimes he never committed just to get a hope of being released - what are they saying now?
That 3 Arabs managed to kindle more than 250 fires all over the country within 3 days? That there were 100s of Arab terrorists with flame throwers going from forest to forest under the noses of the Israeli police, and no-one saw them?
Or that God was behind those fires, and that He was sending us a very clear warning that when we slander, disrespect and persecture His true tzaddikim, we're literally playing with fire?
